Milan High School EBLI Student Feedback

I feel I'm relearning how to read in a way, because I was never taught this way. I like seeing the expression on my buddy's face when she gets something right.
Meagon Bolog, Student
For me, it's an honor to go over to the elementary school and help with reading. Because when I was a kid, I really wasn't a strong reader. I think it's a real confidence builder for my buddy, because he said he didn't feel good about reading but now he does.
William Castleman, Student
I like the program because when I first met my buddy she wasn't real enthusiastic about reading and now when she comes she tells me her mom has to tell her to stop reading.
Emily Rukkila, Student
I think that this class is a really good experience for both me and my buddy, because I am helping my buddy learn to read and I'm teaching myself so many things.
Vickie LaLone, Student
I'm really glad that I got this opportunity for this class. It's a lot of fun to work with someone that needs help and I enjoy doing it. I've also found that it's helped me as well.
Kristin Brandon, Student
This program is amazing. It really makes a difference, not only with the little kids but with the older ones too! All the kids not only gain skills to becoming the best readers that they can, but it builds self esteem.
